Foot Condition - Tired Legs
Our feet carry us around for a lifetime, striking the ground approximately 10,000 times a day. In fact, most people will walk a total of 115,000 miles—that’s four times around the circumference of the Earth! During that time, the feet absorb more than 600 metric tons of force. It’s no surprise that many people frequently suffer from tired, heavy legs that can become very uncomfortable.
When your legs ache and you are not able to identify where the discomfort is coming from, the Footlogix® Tired Leg Formula will support micro-circulation in your feet and lower legs and will greatly improve the feeling of fatigued, heavy legs.
CAUSES
OVER/UNDER USE
One obvious cause of tired legs is overuse. Walking or standing for long periods of time can cause the legs to feel tired. However, underusing your legs (laying or sitting down for extended periods) can also cause discomfort. Over/under use can also lead to cramping and additional discomfort.
VARICOSE VEINS
Varicose veins are a fairly common condition, affecting about 30% of the population. Linked closely to heredity, varicose veins are small, superficial veins that become enlarged, twisted and full of blood. While usually benign, even less serious cases may still result in leg tenderness, heaviness and pain after walking or standing.
POOR CIRCULATION
If you suffer from poor circulation, the lower extremities will be impacted the most since it harder for the blood to flow upwards from the feet to the heart. This can cause blood to collect in the legs. This is why people with underlying conditions that cause poor circulation, such as diabetes, often suffer from swollen legs and ankles at the end of the day.
OTHER UNDERLYING MEDICAL CONDITIONS
In serious cases, tired legs can be a sign of multiple sclerosis, a condition which impacts the nerves. Low levels of potassium in the blood, often caused by other conditions or prescription medications, can also cause tired legs. Pregnancy may exacerbate the issue, as well.FOOTLOGIX SOLUTION
